Stop signs

So tonight i was driving around cuz i ended up going over to casey's to watch the Office from this week. we were having a difficult time trying to find a parking spot becuase parking in Urbana is terrible. So We were driving minding our own business and I come to this street and notice i dont have a stop sign, but the car coming does...so what do i do? i keep doing, but unfortunatly the car coming did not! it rolled right on through that stop sign...and almost into me. Luckily both of us had good reflexes and stopped before hitting eachother. but it was pretty close. So i let the other car go, half because it just went, and half because i was waiting for my heart to start beating again. And as its driving by i notice the words "POLICE" on the sign. it was a cop! SO i turned to casey and was checked with her that i didnt have a stop sign. She agreed i didnt... The cop didnt have its lights on. So it wouldve been his fault... It didnt come after me so i just kept going. A minute later we see the cop pulled someone over. It almost hit me to catch someone else! ARG!!! We ended up just going back to my apartment and walked...wanting to go find the police and see what the deal was with not stopping, but figured that would be a bad idea...
