so sad...

Ciao! well this is my last post from Italia. I cant believe my trip is almost over :( The goodbye dinner is in a few hours and then i think we are going to a bar called Campus and then early tomorrow I leave for the States. Ive had an amazing time! and done some things i never imagined i would. Unbelievable. Im gonna post my pictures. online (well some of them 768 pictures is too many to post online) when i do that Ill put the website up here and send out emails to some people. Ive got a week back home with my favorite sister and parents!!! then to school for a bit (i'll send out an email about that for people that want to see me) and then off to visit grandparents! Its gonna be a crazy rest of the summer...Maybe i'll get some rest when class starts :)
The opera! the operas were great! I bought a program for both nights that pretty much tell you whats going on almost word for word, best 10 Euros i spent. Aida was good. But i liked Carmen a lot better. Our seats were better. I put my contacts back in so i could see better, plus i knew some of the songs and it was a little easier to follow. I dont know that i would say that I absolutely LOVE opera now, but i definatly wouldnt be opposed to going everyonce and awhile. Both started at 9:15pm and Aida ended at 12:30 and Carmen ended at 1:30am. there were breaks, but we sat on the stone steps of the Arena, not very soft. the first night we bought seat cushions, but the second night the stone seemed softer so we didnt buy them... it wasnt really the hardness the second night that was the problem it was the angle of the seats. but it was still pretty amazing to see two operas in an arena thats 2000 years old. Not too many people can say theyve done that...well not too many people i know.
flight is at early sometime tomorrow morning and then i get back in the states at 3:30pm States time...about 10 pm my time, then i have to fly back to st louis.

Today had been a good day. Sarahs dad is in town and they are going to travel after. I walked around with them today. Figured it was a good way to see verona one more time. It was interesting to see it with someone who hasnt seen it before. Just for a warning for anyone that studies abroad or travels for awhile. If you have to things you want to eat one more time before you leave...dont save if for the last day. :) so far today ive had a chocolate croissant, granite (which is like a slushy, but better) a pizza, a drink that sarah and i have been wanting to get for a few weeks (i'll put up pictures) i still need to get gelato, and gnocchi. plus drink some more wine. well i better go, i still have things to look up online before i leave again. Ciao!
