break

Hi, well we just finished a scavenger hunt type thing. We got into groups and Claudio gave us a sheet with questions we needed to answer. example-how much for a ticket at the arena, what is hanging between the Piazza Erbe and Piazza Dante...some of them we could just find on our own, but some we had ask , which my partner did most of that. For the question about what is hanging between the two Piazzas, we asked but the person we asked didnt speak English so after she finally understood what we were asking, she drew it. She drew a fish and then pointed to her ribs. so we figured fish bone-rib. HOwever, it was apparently not the right answer. Claudio looked at our sheet and said it was a cow rib. Oh well, it was still fun to interact with people here. I cant wait to actually get to do that better. When I can actually speak some Italian. Our scavenger hunt lasted about 2 hours. It was really warm out today. Im feeling pretty comfortable walking around. I know how to get to the grocery store, the McDonalds-which i want to eat in once, Piazza Erbe, Piazza Dante, Piazza Bra' from my apartment. and Im pretty sure I know how to get to the Idea Verona, where I am going to school.
I woke up this morning to a lot of talking... there was some walk going on today, which I am guessing is what I woke up to. Laura, Sarah and i were like dont people know its early? i mean i understand people walking around early doing touristy stuff...but it was a lot of people. But then we saw there were tags on their shirts and later realized what was going on.
Tonight we are having our last dinner together for awhile i believe. Im pretty sure its going to be pizza. Im looking forward to it. I didnt eat much today. we went to the grocery store, which is called PAM, and bought breakfast. I bought a box of Cheerios, and I got a toy with it! i was so excited. I didnt realize that it came with a toy until i opened the box. and guess what it is? a soccer player! you hit the top of his head and he kicks his foot!!! it came with a plastic flat soccer ball.
Last night we ate dinner at Romeo's house. Pretty good food, the only thing i didnt like was the pasta that had anchovies in it. You couldnt see it, but you sure could taste it. I dont think many people like that. the desert was amazing!!! it was chocolate salami i think is what it translated to? it was chocolate with crunchy business in it :) yummy
I guess thats it for now. Ciao!

OMG SheryBery! It sounds AMAZING. I know I mentioned it before, but MAN, I am jealous! I cant wait to get to see your pictures and hear more. Keep up with the blog and you know, broken Italian is better than non! I personally would find it a riot if you spoke Italian like Joey spoke French. Oh, and your apartment! Then Italian Cheerios! Geez, talk about a summer to remember....
